Which public holidays are included in the calculator?
The calculator includes hardcoded public holidays for the United States, United Kingdom, Australia (national), and Canada for 2024–2026. Select "No holidays" to count only Mon–Fri weekdays without any holiday deductions. Note that some regional/state holidays may not be included.
Does the calculator include the start and end date in the count?
Yes — both the start and end date are counted if they fall on a working day. If you select the same date for both, the result is 1 business day (assuming it's a weekday and not a holiday). This matches most contract and delivery timeline conventions.
How do I calculate a delivery date that is 10 business days from today?
Use the "Add business days" mode: enter today as the start date and 10 as the number of days to add. The calculator skips weekends and public holidays to find the exact end date. For example, adding 10 business days to a Monday typically gives you two weeks later (two Mondays hence), but the exact date depends on any holidays in between.
How many working days are in a year?
A typical year has 260–262 working days (52 weeks × 5 days, with leap year variation). After subtracting ~10 US federal holidays, there are roughly 250 working days. UK has 8 bank holidays (253 working days). Many employees also have 15–25 vacation days, leaving 225–238 actual working days.
